Healthy & Delicious Turkey Chili Recipe

I have had a few friends from facebook ask me about my Chili Recipe and to be honest the funny thing is I am the worst cook EVER... almost everything I burn or over cook

... however I have been taking some lessons from a friend and decided to put together my own Turkey Chili Recipe.

I SHOCKED myself at how good it tastes ;) I usually cook very simple but healthy dishes due to my burning almost all foods but I think I will be venturing out of my shell and experimenting more :) 

Yesterday was an active recovery day for me, which means no work out but I had to get my butt out there and get moving. I decided to go on a 1.5 hour walk to get coffee and off to the grocery store for this weeks meal prep. 

Turkey Chili Recipe

  • Pre cook 2 packs of turkey 
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes blended... I don't like big chunks of tomatoes 
  • 1 can of white beans, they aren't filled with a sugary syrup in the can 
  • 1 can of kidney beans, drained 
  • 1 pepper of any colour chopped 
  • 2 celery stalks 
  • corn (if you choose) 
  • 5 gloves of minced garlic 
  • 1/2 C of chopped up onions 
  • 1/4 C of chili powder
  • 1tsp cumin powder
  • 1 TBSP black peper
  • pinch of salt 
  • pinch of cayenne pepper if you like 
  • 3tbsp of olive oil 

After cooking the turkey I let it sit on top of a strainer for a few minutes to ensure as much of the fat had dripped out as possible. 

In a deep sauce pan warm your oil up. Add in the spices and then about 1/8 of the crushed tomatoes. Add in the peppers and the celery. Let this simmer for about 10 - 15 minutes to cook the veggies and open up the flavours of the spices, garlic and onions. 

Add in the rest of the ingredients, cook on low until it is your desired temperate and serve! The lower you let the spices open up the better it is going to taste. I let mine simmer for about an hour after having my first bowl and I have to admit the chili today tasted even better.

If it is too thick for your liking add in tomato paste and a little water. 

I made a big pot of rice to put in the fridge so whenever I am hungry I have my rice and chili ready to go :)

Fitness is not a competition with anyone else, it a competition for you to be better than you were last week. Being better may mean being able to do 1 more rep, of holding a position for a few extra seconds or really squeezing into that muscle harder than you did the time before.

Your weekly pictures will show case all the hard work you have put in week after week to getting that body you have always wanted.

I have been on my body transformation journey for a year now and in the stages of tweaking, toning and defining. It has taken ALOT of sweat, determination, and PULLING myself off the couch to work out. My biggest struggles have been my mind telling me that I can do it another day, or that I can turn of my workouts half way through... but you can't! I had to conquer my mind before I was seeing results.

My goal now is to really define my muscles and to help inspire others no matter where they are in their health and fitness right now to get started living a healthy life. Not only will your body transform but so does your mind and your energy levels as you progress. I had to start at the beginning to and so does everyone... and that is how I know you can do it!

Congrats to all the ladies in my challenge group for posting their week 1 pics, moving into week 2 we are really going to be pushing hard to see those amazing results. I am so proud of you all for the results you have gotten this far. WAY TOO GO.. Now LET'S GET WEEK 2 STARTED RIGHT :D :D :D - Yes I am a little bit excited!!!

My First Big Tattoo

Holey heck....

Okay where to start! I have a VERY high pain tolerance but I was told before the tattooing began how painful this process was going to be.

I'm not going to lie to you but I really worked myself up... big time.The second the tattoo gun turned on I cringed and was wondering what the heck I have gotten myself into and thinking I was in for a LONG time of pain.

.. But then it started .. and to my surprise it wasn't bad at all!

For me getting my hair weave a few years back was WAY more painful.. I know some people are definitely not going to agree with this :P

6 hours of straight tattooing and my new ink is DONE!!!! Thank you to my good friend Nicole for documenting the process, this is a great video to have as a keep sake <3 <3 - I just have the best of friends :D :D

LOVE LOVE LOVE it... Now to go and get some new workout gear and crush those workouts!!!

Why Do Most People Fail At Network Marketing?


As you all know from follow my blog that I am a home based business owner or a network marketing if you will. 

A lot of you who have been following me over my journey since 2010 know that I am real, I may write things that you don't agree with or that will ruffle your feathers or perhaps give you a good swift kick in the butt. 

Before starting my journey I owned a few successful traditional businesses, one which I sold and one which I closed down due to lack of dedication and commitment from me. 

I am very passionate about the network marketing industry and firmly believe that every household should have someone in a company. Being in a network marketing company allows you to create a back up plan, pay off your debts, pay for a family holiday, buy a new car... anything you have dreamed of you can have... 

... But there is one problem.. MOST PEOPLE FAIL and here is why: 

I was sitting here thinking the other day " How come I have become successful and many of my close friends but most people don't?" I thought about it and thought about it and this is what I have come up with. It isn't a matter if the company works because every company will have success stories.. it actually all breaks down to If You Work"

We have all been pitched an opportunity to live a lavish life, be a millionaire, drive fancy cars, ad have a uppity up family.. and it is very tempting.. but it doesn't come at no cost. 

  1. People expect INSTANT gratification, if they do not see results within 2 months they quite.. or some even sooner and then they will hop to the next shiny opportunity that promises them the world. Network Marketing is like any business, if you want to be successful you Have to Work the Business. You WILL not be a millionaire over night, or maybe in your first few years! But the thing is if you stick to it for at least a year and look back over that you you WILL be shocked as to what happened in your business and life! Everything can change very fast 
  2. People don't have the work ethic. You need to work the business every day. 1 -2 hours per day is all it takes, and if you follow through with that for a year your mind should be blown at what you have achieved in 365 days. 
  3. People don't have the tools and training to get started. This goes back to doing research on the company you are joining. Find a company that has all the training, a 24/7 support system you can call in get in touch with real people when ever you need help. Find a company that markets and advertises for you. Find a company that has weekly company calls so that you can stay in the loop as to what is going on. 
  4. People don't have mentorship. You need to find someone who has done what you want to do and follow what they are doing! This business isn't about reinventing the wheel, it is about duplicating what works. You need a good mentor/ leader to help you get to where you want to go. They will push you further than you thought possible, and you will get the results you never thought you could achieve. 
  5. People give up when someone tells them they "can't. " This one is a tough one for me because I was told over and over and over again my friends and family that this wouldn't work, it was a pyramid scheme ect ect ect. I didn't listen to them because I made the decision to listen to those people who have done it before and I listened to them! Do what makes you happy and dream big because you can achieve those dreams. 
These are the top reasons that came to my head. I am sure other home based business owners would agree with me and then be able to add in a few more points. 

Building a home based business isn't easy, you Will have to jump through hoops and do things you have ever wanted to do but in the end it will be worth it. 

You will not be a millionaire over night but with consistent action, a good company and mentor you could be there in a few years. 

Which ever company you choose, just stick with it, don't jump to another company or quite right away... promise yourself 1 year, and you will be surprised at what will happen. 

One of my friends who is a million dollar + earner in the home based business industry always tells me "The moment to treat it like a real business is the moment it will pay you like a real business"

What Inspires You?

Have you ever just stopped to think about what inspires you? What makes you Happy? or What keeps you pushing forward each and every day?

Are you inspired by:
  • Quotes 
  • Seeing success stories 
  • Seeing your best friend or family member with the results you desire?
  • Is it a song 
  • A book you read 
  • A picture you saw 
  • How about a movie or a video clip
With so many pieces of social media floating around it is easy to come by media that inspires you to achieve your dreams! 

For me it is seeing others happy, and working hard towards their goals! Nothing inspires me more than chatting with a mother/ wife who has come to me not feeling 'sexy' anymore, working along side her and seeing the smile on her face within a few months!

Nothing inspires me more than a man who desperately wants to look good but doesn't feel good at the gym, turn to me for help and letting me know that they are seeing results!! 

Nothing inspires me more than those people who reach out to me and are ready to take hold of their lives to look their best and feel their best both inside and out. 

Nothing Inspires me more than the mother, wife, daughter, father, son who now has more energy and is going to live a healthier life. 

Nothing inspires me more than seeing the smile that radiates from people faces or when they tell me how incredible they finally feel for taking the plunge and getting into shape. 

Nothing inspires me more than You!

Chasing that HIGH...

I heard something this morning that really stood out to me and I felt like I should share


...first off who wants to get high with me?!?! Okay it's not what you're thinking but I did get your attention right?!?! Keep reading and I will explain 

My post the other day was about having a hard time getting motivated to workout. More times than not I have to mentally over come the objections in my head.. I have to bargain with myself to get up and work out.. I just like you have Every excuse under the sun to not to do!

.... but when you finally over power all those excuses and get your work out done you are on cloud 9, that post workout High that we all love. The energy surge you get, the way you feel about your body and most importantly how amazing you feel knowing you conquered those pesky thoughts telling you to do a million other things.

WELL try this next time... this morning I heard someone say "Everytime you start your work out never think about it but instead hold on to the feeling of that post workout High and how amazing you feel. That will pull you through your work out and push you harder than you have pushed before."

I did that today and it worked!! It's snowy outside, cold and dreary... I wanted to curl up on the couch and read all morning but I WAS EXCITED TO CHASE MY HIGH

...SO who's getting high with me today?!??! Any takers????

On a side note... from consistently staying true to my workouts no matter what I have abs I never knew existed... it didn't happen over night but with constant Piyoing with my challenge groups!!! Thank you to my challengers for keeping me on the ball
